“The creative spirit will dominate society ... especially in European countries and notably small countries, which will use the creative industries to survive economically”
Li Edelkoort, influential trend forecaster, June 2009

CreativeD, a network to develop the Creative Industries in Dublin, aims to:

transform the creative sector in Dublin
contribute to growth and development of individual organisations and the sector
develop new and innovative products and services and
assist the creative sector in becoming a significant force in our new economy
For the first time in Dublin all of aspects of the creative industries are being brought together by partner agencies to work towards the sustainability and continued vibrance of individual organisations and the sector as a whole.  That this project is being mirrored in a number of other European locations is also a unique feature which will extend the impact of being involved.

CreativeD was developed by Dublin City Council, Dublin City and County Enterprise Boards and The Digital Hub. It is facilitated by creative coaches with specific industry experience across a range of sectors and specialism in Innovation and Creativity processes utilised in the Stanford Research Institute, Palo Alto, California.

CreativeD involves:

  • Sharing learning and experience with like-minded people and organisations

  • Understanding /exploiting potential of entire sector

  • Providing an arena where collaboration can flourish

  • Facilitating access to key influencers/other sectors

  • Commercialising ideas and concepts for the marketplace

  • Expanding possibilities for European partnership

  • Becoming a voice for the sector

CreativeD will be holding its first event on 20th October 2009, entitled “Capitalizing on Your Creativity”, to coincide with Dublin Innovation Week.  Events and interactions will continue until June 2011.
